What does this mean?

Tax deductible donations can now be made to the Biogas for Nakuru project through the Rotary Australia Overseas Aid Fund (RAOAF). This provides an efficient way to collect donations and transfer the funds internationally to Nakuru Kenya for the construction of biogas units.

Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd. (RAWCS) was formed to enable Australian Rotarians, Rotary Districts, and Rotary Clubs to assist disadvantaged communities and individuals through humanitarian aid projects.

RAWCS has a financial infrastructure system that facilitates fundraising for projects that deliver humanitarian aid and charitable support in Australia and overseas. Projects are registered through Rotary Australia Overseas Aid Fund (RAOAF), Rotary Australia Benevolent Society (RABS) incorporating Rotary Australia Compassionate Grants (RACG), Rotary Australia Relief Fund (RARF), Rotarians Against Malaria (RAM), and Repurposing Medical & Health Equipment.

RAWCS aims to encourage and foster the advancement of international goodwill, peace & understanding through meaningful world community Service projects with the active participation of Australian Rotarians and Rotary Clubs.

RAWCS does charge a small percentage for the service however this is largely offset by a very favorable foreign exchange arrangement for transferring funds overseas.
